Tami Mostert is a professional dancer and teacher. She has been a part of Cindy’s School of Dance since she was 2 years old. She was one of the Encore Dance Company's first members when it was established in 1990. She danced and competed with EDC through her senior year in high school. After high school, Tami went on to Oklahoma City University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Dance Management. Soon after she graduated, Tami worked as a dancer for Carnival Cruise Lines. Now, she is a dancer/cheerleader for The Frisco Thunder, a new IFL team in Frisco. She also dances with Grupo Pakal at the Dallas World Aquarium, where she performs Mayan dance ceremonies. Tami is also represented by Show Entertainment Group talent agency in Dallas. Recently, Tami has received her certifications for group fitness and Pilates. She really enjoys teaching Pilates, and strongly believes in the Pilates method and the positive results that come from it. She also has choreographed and judged for several high school and middle school dance teams. Tami loves to dance and to teach others how to become not only good dancers, but also great performers! She hopes to motivate her students and help guide them in their path to a career in dance. Starting this fall, Tami will be pursuing her master’s degree in dance education at the University of North Texas and Texas Women’s University. |

Karen Witt graduated from Allen High School in 2001 after 13 years of dancing at Cindy’s. As a member of the Encore Dance Company since the fourth grade, she owes a lot to everyone at the studio and is thankful for all she had the opportunity to do and learn during that time. (With a big thanks to Miss Gina for the ice cream!) Following high school Karen spent a fabulous year teaching and working at the studio before her big move to California. In the summer of 2002 she moved to Los Angeles were she was admitted into the scholarship program at Edge Performing Arts Center for the 2002-2003 term. After a year of 30 hours of dance a week and a year end show, she graduated, even receiving a diploma. Currently, Karen lives in LA where she is attending Santa Monica College and most recently became a manager at Edge. She still enjoys taking class as much as possible, especially from Doug Caldwell, Malaya, Eddie Garcia, and Terri Best, who are a few of her favorites. Cindy’s still feels like home to Karen, and she tries to keep up with all the news through the message board and from her mom, Miss Pam the office manager. So make sure to keep up on the posts and feel free to email her at chaps_1124@hotmailcom. |
